(Bochum / New York, April 22, 2025) From unexpected tariffs to extreme weather events, global supply chains can break down in days. If companies want to be resilient, they need to invest in supply chain digitalization to stay responsive. And those who digitize their supply chain expect not just fast implementation of the SCM software, but seamless access to tools such as quality control and transport tracking in real time via the system. Setlog meets this requirement with its enhanced SCM software OSCA DC (Digital Core).
The Bochum-based tech company will showcase its solution to shippers, freight forwarders and other supply chain partners during transport logistic 2025 (June 2 to 5) at the trade fairgrounds in Munich. At booth 615 in hall B1, the SCM experts will demonstrate how companies can use the cloud-based tool to boost transparency in their supply chain, use state-of-the-art data analytics and improve administration, collaboration and communication. They will also show how OSCA easily connects with TMS systems, partner tools like Shippeo and Intelliway for real-time transport tracking, and quality control solutions such as Qarma.

The latest software version of OSCA can be implemented very quickly. Depending on the requirements, only a few weeks are needed in addition to the installation phase for interfaces and global partner connections. Companies such as Fynch-Hatton, MTS, Simplicity and Wenko have benefited from rapid commissioning. Setlog Managing Director Ralf Duester explains that all suppliers, freight forwarders, test laboratories and other partners are fully involved in the implementation by the Setlog team. “We’ve set a new industry benchmark,” says the SCM expert. The key to speed: customer processes are aligned with OSCA’s best practice examples – and not vice versa. This saves users customer-specific adaptations, time and costs.

OSCA, short for “Online Supply Chain Accelerator”, has five main functionalities: Purchase Order Management, Global Logistics, Quality Control, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The solution is now used by around 150 brands worldwide. A major advantage: the modules break down silos and eliminate media disruptions. Thanks to standardized API interfaces, data can be securely exchanged between ERP, TMS, WMS and other systems of the various partners using OSCA without redundancies and duplicate maintenance. What many customers appreciate: The IT tool also provides visibility for CSR and ESG issues. Thanks to the information on who produces which order, the sub-tiers can also be mapped and assigned to the respective order. Apparel importers, for example, gain transparency right down to the cotton farmer level. “End-to-end visibility helps companies to react quickly to changes in the supply chain and remain competitive. OSCA supports all partners along the supply chain to collaborate via one platform,” emphasizes Duester. Quality control can also be managed through the software – for example using Qarma’s partner tool, which complements OSCA’s built-in module. Users receive real-time data and can enter inspection results directly through a portal.

Setlog customers also benefit from the company’s transportation tracking partnerships. With the Real-Time Transportation Visibility module they can monitor shipments live. They also receive precise data on the estimated and actual arrival time of their shipments (Estimated Time of Arrival, ETA, and Actual Time of Arrival, ATA). The benefit: Users receive a warning if a delivery is delayed due to an event in the supply chain. This allows them to react immediately to the disruption and adjust the transport processes. Thanks to several key features, Setlog customers gain full visibility into the transport status of their goods:

  • Users have access to 90 percent of all sea freight ships or truck transport.
  • The tracking solutions can be integrated into the OSCA SCM solution in just a few steps via an interface (API); there is no media disruption.
  • Users benefit from real-time shipment tracking down to SKU level.
  • Shippers always remain digitally independent. This means that they can continue to work with their freight forwarders, contract logistics providers and other partners without having to change their service providers.
